October 24, 1997: An all-new remake of Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic TV musical Cinderella, starring Brandy and Whitney Houston, airs on "The Wonderful World of Disney" on ABC-TV on Sunday November 2.

To celebrate, The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization has prepared a special tribute on its new website, www.rnh.com., featuring RealVideo sequences from both the latest Cinderella and the original 1957 broadcast, which starred Julie Andrews and has never before been rebroadcast or released on home video. For the first time in 40 years, fans can view Julie Andrews and her co-stars, including Fairy Godmother Edith Adams, Prince Jon Cypher and Step-sisters Kaye Ballard and Alice Ghostley, in excerpts from such songs as "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible," "Ten Minutes Ago," and "Step-sisters Lament." The RealVideo sequences segue directly into corresponding scenes from the all-new version starring Brandy as Cinderella, Whitney Houston as The Fairy Godmother, Paolo Montalban as The Prince, and Veanne Cox and Natalie Desselle as The Step-sisters.

A Fairy Godmother's Warning: Cinderella had a midnight curfew, and her fans have only until November 3 to enjoy this unprecedented look at television history...and history in the making. Note: www.rnh.com is a new website that is a must for any lover of Broadway and Hollywood musicals and American popular song, celebrating such great writers and composers as Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein II, Irving Berlin, Lorenz Hart, and others.
